Our History at B & B Crane and Rigging

At B & B Crane and Rigging, we're proud of our history in East Tennessee, North Georgia, and Northeast Alabama. We're a third-generation, family-owned business, and our story is defined by our dedication to providing big company service with a small company touch.

B & B Steel Erection began in 1968 in Chattanooga, TN. At our inception, we've worked extensively with structural steel and pre-stressed concrete and erection. We've been involved with construction on many of the notable landmark buildings in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. With this success, our company has grown dramatically over the years. In the late 1970s, we added crane rentals to our repertoire. This service continued to grow throughout the 1980s as we purchased some of the first all-terrain mobile hydraulic cranes in the region.

By the late 1990s, we had shifted away from erection services and became an exclusive crane and rigging company. In 2017, we expanded our service area to include work throughout the entire Knoxville, TN area.
